5 X and Twitter DM automation tools worth comparing in 2026

I run Xsender, so I read these tools' pages line by line, and I lose deals to them. Ours is one of the five and sits in the table under the same rules as the rest. Every entry says where that tool beats ours.

The five Twitter automation tools, side by side

All prices are per month, paid monthly. Where a maker does not say how its tool sends, the cell says not published. We did not guess.

Our row, in plain words. Xsender runs in the Chrome you already use, so your login stays on your machine. It stops each account at what X allows it that day. It remembers who you already wrote to, and ends a follow-up the moment a reply lands. It is wrong for you if you cannot leave a computer on, or if you want the tool to find the leads as well.

Why does where it runs decide the rest?

Twitter automation software runs in one of two places. A cloud tool sends automated Twitter messages from its own servers. To do that it needs a way into your account, and it holds that access the whole time it runs. A tool in your own browser sends from the Chrome you are already logged into, so there is nothing to hand over.

The trade is real: the cloud tool sends while your laptop is shut, the browser tool needs a tab left open.

Where each rival beats us

How many DMs a day, really?

As many as X allows, and not one more. First messages to people who do not follow you are message requests, capped per 24 hours.

A second limit counts every DM, replies included: 500 a day. The 500 figure most roundups quote is that one, not the cold outreach cap. Our guide to the X DM limit pulls the two apart.

Now hold the vendor numbers next to X's. Xreacher's homepage says up to 50 Premium DMs a day; X publishes 35. DMpro sells 250 a day per account. Both only work if most of those DMs go to people who already follow you, or into open threads.

Pick among X automation tools by how you work, not by a vendor's daily number.

• One account, your own list, small budget: XAutoDM at $29 a month. Start on its free tier.
• You cannot leave a computer running: a cloud tool. Xreacher publishes a price at every size.

Is there a free Twitter auto DM tool?

Do any of these work without my password?

A Chrome extension sends from the browser you are already logged into, so there is no password to hand over. That is how ours works. Of the cloud tools here, only Drippi ever published its method, X's own API with your keys, and it is offline. Xreacher and DMpro do not say, so ask before you connect an account.

Is Drippi still working?

No. On 10 September 2026 drippi.ai returned a 404 and its app a 503, and the first archived 404 is dated 5 September. Drippi has said nothing we could find, so we say offline, not closed. If you used it, check your X accounts for locks and remove its API access. What to do instead walks through it.
